Addionics Raises $39M Series B to Boost EV Battery Performance with 3D Current Collectors
Addionics, an Israeli EV battery tech startup, has secured $39 million in a Series B funding round led by GM Ventures and the Deep Insight fund, with participation from Scania, Union Tech Ventures, Delek Motors, and Next Gear Ventures. This brings their total funding to $79 million. The company develops 3D Current Collectors for EV batteries, promising a 20%-30% performance improvement and reduced copper and aluminum usage. Founded in 2017, Addionics employs 75 people globally. The new funds will help expand teams, manufacturing, and commercialize their technology, including building a US-based giga-factory, with commercial production expected by year-end.

Wiz, an Israeli Cybersecurity Startup, Chooses Independence Over $23B Google Offer to Pursue IPO
Wiz, an Israeli cybersecurity startup, received a $23 billion acquisition offer from Google but decided to turn it down to pursue a major IPO. CEO Assaf Rappaport and the founders believe in Wiz's potential to become a significant industry player. Despite the tempting offer, they opted for long-term growth, targeting significant revenue and a U.S. IPO. Recently, Wiz raised $1 billion, valuing the company at $12 billion. The founders' decision, though delaying immediate financial benefits, aims to create a larger impact through tax revenues, an IPO, and extensive business development. Government officials had anticipated revenue from the deal, but the founders focused on the company's future potential.

CarbonBlue Secures $10M Seed Round for Water-Based CO2 Removal Technology
Israeli startup CarbonBlue has raised $10 million in Seed funding to scale its water-based CO2 removal technology. Led by Ibex Investors and Fresh Fund, with additional support from Engie New Ventures and ZIM Ventures, the round included $3 million through a SAFE agreement. CarbonBlue’s Direct Water Capture technology can utilize any type of water, making it adaptable to existing infrastructure. Founded in 2022, the company is expanding projects globally and will use the funding to enhance technology and partnerships.

Hyundai & Quantum Webinar - In-Vehicle User Experience
Last month, Hyundai Motor Group and Quantum Hub launched the In-Vehicle User Experience Challenge. This initiative seeks innovative technologies in the User Experience sector for Hyundai Motor Group's Oi Lounge department. The selected startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the Oi Lounge exhibition in October 2025.
During the webinar, which was attended by 60 participants, we introduced Quantum Hub and outlined its activities. We also provided an overview of Hyundai Motor Group, Hyundai Cradle TLV, and the Oi Lounge. We then described each subcategory in detail, extending our analysis to include the entire challenge.
The primary goals of the webinar are to expand exposure for startups, foster innovation in the user experience sector, and build connections between Israeli startups and Hyundai Motor Group. We aim to encourage Israeli startups with innovative solutions that enhance driving through personalization, enjoyment, comfort, design, cost-efficiency, eco-friendliness, energy efficiency, or safety to participate.

Quantum Hub Hosts Robotics Enrichment Day for Bazan Group
As robotics technology continues to advance and impact various industries, we believe it's crucial for leading corporations, like our partners, to stay ahead of the curve and adaptable.
This month, Quantum Hub had the honor of organizing and hosting a Robotics Enrichment Day for one of its partners, Bazan Group. The event provided a deep dive into the latest advancements in robotics, showcasing breakthrough technologies that were once thought impossible.
A highlight of the day was an inspiring lecture by Dror Ben David, a leading expert in robotics and AI, who shared valuable insights on integrating robots with LLM & AI. His expertise in both defense and civil industries added tremendous value to our discussions.

The event has paved the way for exciting new collaborations and innovative projects for the Bazan Group in the robotics sector. We look forward to seeing the future developments that will emerge from these discussions.

Quantum Hub CHAMP Program 2024
Quantum CHAMP is an internal innovation management program tailored for executives at Taavura- Livnat Group.
This cohort brought together 12 talented participants from 12 diverse Taavura-Livnat companies, all eager to embrace innovation and drive change.
Throughout the program, participants were equipped with essential tools, knowledge, and an innovative mindset through a series of engaging sessions and workshops. Here’s a glimpse of what we covered:

Introduction to Quantum & Exploring Taavura-Livnat Group: We kicked off with an overview of Quantum’s initiatives and explored the innovation and tech ecosystem, along with a deep dive into the Taavura-Livnat Group and its subsidiaries.

Understanding Quantum's Domains: Participants learned about Quantum’s focus areas and crafted a process map for developing PoC projects.

LinkedIn Workshop: A comprehensive session on optimizing LinkedIn profiles, including professional photography to enhance personal branding.

The Art of Storytelling: Participants refined their presentation skills and learned techniques for effectively conveying their core ideas.

AI Workshop: A hands-on workshop focused on AI’s capabilities and practical integration techniques to elevate business practices and achieve optimal results.
This month, we had the graduation event of this cohort. During the event, our graduates presented their innovative projects, showcasing their dedication and hard work. Their presentations addressed real challenges within their organizations and demonstrated creative solutions with potential for great impact.
At Quantum, we are focused on creating innovation champions within our partner organizations. Through our CHAMP Program, we educate them about internal innovation and equip them with the tools, knowledge, and mindset needed to drive innovation within their organizations.

The company’s technology, derived from the medical industry, is deployed in hard-to-reach and harsh environments, providing visibility for maintenance and operations teams.

Battery Recycling Solution
Li-generate has developed a single-step method for battery recycling that is both fast and efficient. This zero-emission process allows for direct metal recovery at a low cost, with a minimal footprint. Additionally, it repurposes waste materials, making it an environmentally friendly and economical approach to battery recycling.

Accelerating Corporates’ Clean Energy Transition
Clarify Energy accelerates corporate clean energy transitions by leveraging comprehensive data to optimize procurement, predict production, and facilitate reporting.
